  1. NIMBU:


    Latin name: Citrus medica var acida.
    English name: Lemon.

    It is considered both a vegetable and fruit. It contains sufficient citric acid and vitamin "c" and its cover has a sort of oil.
    Uses:

    1. It is used to eliminate worms in the stomach.
    2. Its juice is taken to retrieve stomachache, to increase the appetite.
    3. It purifies blood, helps in fever and diarea.
    4. Its juice is taken with salt or sugar with water as a tasteful drink.
    5. Messaging lemon juice and lime water on an oily skin removes stickiness.

  2. KARELA:


    Latin Name: Momordica charantina linn.
    English name: Bitter Gourd.

    Its fruit is bitter, laxative, appetizer and anti pyretic. It purifies blood and thus remedies blood diseases and anaemia. It also helps in asthama bronchitis and problems or urinary discharges. It is best used to relieve diabetise, as its bitterness reduces the sugar in the blood.

    Its cooked vegetables gives relief in skin diseases.

  3. NEEM:


    Latin Name: Azadirachta indica juss.
    English Name: Nimb Tree.

    Neem has been considered as capable of healing all type of diseases.

    It is used to kill the worms in the stomach. It is also taken to purify blood. It cures skin disorders and heals the wounds. It can also cure fever. Its branches with leaves are kept in the house to avoid infection and mosquitos etc. Neem oil is used on the head to kill the lice. Neem fruit (nimboli) and tender neem leaves are eaten to ward off / relieve malania, skin diseases and to purify blood etc.

  4. TULSI:


    Latin name: Ocimum sanctum
    English name: Basil

    In India, It is available in every garden, every temple and every hindu family. This is called Tulsi Mata and Worshiped by Hindus.

    Every part of tulsi is used for medicinal purposes. Its leaves gives sweet smells and it purifies the atmosphere and keeps of pollution. Its syrup is extremely beneficial. It is stimulating and muscular. Its leaves are used in medicines, lotions and cosmetic paste. It keeps off mosquitoes and by applying juice of Tulsi on the body at night, mosquitoes can not bite.

    Its paste is given to patient of fever, skin diseases, cold and cough. It is advised to take tulsi leaves daily to keep away diseases. It also wards off evil sprits from the house. Hindus worship Tulsi for blessings of Lord Vishnu.
